Your Little Ugliness

Your Little Ugliness

You are not perfect
Of course, I'm not either
But this little ugliness in you
Makes me step up to a believer

You're not in all tune
Though you have rhythm
And the dance cheek to cheek
Is like a sweet dream in a prism

You don't always tell the truth
But the experience with you is real
Furthermore, your silence is the start
For telling finally the way I love to feel

I'm all in your sadness, hatred, and fear
I'm all in your violence and lack to control
I'm all into crazy love you and make you happy
Minding my P's and Q's instead of playing the role

Nothing seems to be all fine
Nobody would eventually agree
None of us is hitting the fast track
But both of us are all ready to be free

You're way from all right
Mirroring it all near or very far
The mistakes, the lacks, the minus
Darling, I know exactly who you are

You are a rocket with destination
My foolish and innocent heart
Darling, you are not learned
But very clever and smart

Oh, your little ugliness
Makes me want you more
More than I tried to hope for
Or ever used to manage before

Let me call you names, all those needed ones
Without hesitation for good, without regrets
And, see where life and God leads us next
Beautiful ugliness,"As good as it gets!"

Emily Post's Yield to Despair

Emily Post's Yield to Despair

What's wrong today among behavior?
What's wrong with people's manner apart?
It seems like Knigge has bought a farm in the west
And smugness, vanity and egotism are the "nouveau art"

What's wrong with gentleness?
What's wrong with psyching one up?
What's wrong with showing some respect?
Instead of bleeding one white and cupping his cup

Is it some anger?
Seething down inside?
Does the good intention
Make it hence right?

We're all in the same boat
Toward "The Promised Land"
With the crucifixions in our heart
Making us flounder, stumble, and stand

We are vulnerable essence
And a strong nature nevertheless
Let us remember politely and pleasant
And remind one of our suavity and confess

Confess that we so need each other
No matter who, or where, or what or why
Let us confess and "heart-balm" all very heart
In place of being restrained, aloof, low-key or shy

Times need all generosity
Excellence and quality to reassign
Broadmindedness, kindness, and bounty
And what's more some scrupulousness to fine

I'm here for you
I hear what you say
I understand
I pray

I love you and you are truly amazing
An amazing angel, wonderful in every way
I'm so proud of you, grateful for you being born
A dear friend making the world a better place to stay

And nothing ever else matters
True blood lingering in this vein
Presence's gift for the future
Is healthy and sane
